In doing the end-of-season reviews. The Charlotte Hornets have put the buzz back in the ''Queen City'' this season. As you know, the Hornets have managed to set expectations for their own standards. A 20-win season was likely, but they won more than that. In fact, they were one of the best teams not to make the playoffs in recent memory. But the future is brighter than probably ever before in their franchise history. Here are three questions I have for the Hornets going forward.

  1. What's the plan this offseason?

The Hornets should enter it knowing they have a good young core that will get better. I know the front office is making smart decisions, and targeting the front court should be an option. They have draft picks, which in the era of second apron is an investment towards the future. Honestly, with their core(Lamelo, Brandon, Kon, and Miles), it's about depth for the team, meaning you get some good role players.

  1. Will they bring back Coby White?

He is the most important free agent they have. They didn't trade for him to watch him go. Bringing back Coby is essential; he can be a 6th-man-of-the-year candidate for the team. Plus, he has the tides in North Carolina, and imagine what that will look like with a full season.

  1. Future outlook?

You know, looking back at this season, they give off Detroit Pistons vibes. Remember last season when that team won a hell of a games no one saw coming, and now a title contender. The Hornets have taken the path; while they didn't make the postseason, gaining that play-in experience was everything. So the arrow is pointing up, and hey, if they won 50 or 60 games, should we be surprised? So, next season, they should be looking to make the playoffs with one of those top six seeds.
