In doing end-of-season reviews. The 2025-2026 Orlando Magic will be remembered as a team that kept spinning its wheels. Coming into the season, expectations were sky high for the Magic. They traded the farm(draft picks) for Desmond Bane to fix their offense. Yet, the Magic disappointed during the regular season, resulting in a play-in opportunity, and they somehow found a way to whoop the Hornets. The most fascinating part is that the Magic had a 3-1 lead against the number one overall seed, the Detroit Pistons, but only lost in the seven-game series, blowing their lead.

  1. What will they do with their roster?

The Magic have a very expensive roster, their core of Pablo, Franz, Jalen, and Desmond. Figuring out how to build a roster around them is going to be interesting. If there's one thing Orlando needs a point guard to run the show, and might need another big with Moritz Wagner's free agency looming. In the second cap apron era, they might have to get pennies on dollars with hope for value.

  1. Will Jamal Mosley be shown the door after not watching enough Disney+?

There's been a lot of smoke surrounding his job security. For a minute, his seat looked safe with a 3-1 lead, only to blow it might just be the icing on the cake. If this is the end of Jamal Mosley's era, then it's been a run. He did a tremendous job taking an irrelevant Magic team and making them better with three straight playoff appearances. Yes, the requirement to be a Magic head coach is to watch plenty of Disney+ to win games, and he hasn't done enough of that in the postseason. At least he will have the opportunity to likely get a second opportunity in the league.

  1. Future Outlook?

Considering how things have played out for Orlando this season, it might be time for a new voice on the sidelines. I believe the Magic will almost certainly have a new head coach in the fall. There is a solid playoff core in place with the big four, and now it's about building more offense around them. Orlando underachieved this season, yet I am projecting a better season where they will compete for a top-six seed or play in, and just maybe they will win a playoff series.
