The New Orleans Pelicans are rumor to be interested in Rajon Rondo. For a head coaching job that is and honestly it fits the Pelicans current brand of what the hell they are currently doing. It could be a genius move since New Orleans is definitely not attractive job right now. Here why Rondo to the Pelicans could actually workout
Rajon knows how to win
Rajon Rondo is everybody favorite point guard of the 2000's. He won a championship in Boston and was a franchise point guard so he knows what it takes. That works in New Orleans for a franchise that historically has never been a title favorite. There is some promising pieces on the roster and for Rondo if he gets the opportunity he can maximize the young talent.
He can get the most out of Zion
The Zion Williamson has been a whole lot of what it if. Whether it's been injuries, lack of talent and or just straight up mediocrity. The Pelicans have been awful in the Zion era. If Rondo comes in he will hold him accountable and required him to be the best version of himself. For Rondo taking this job is mostly about trying to get winning team around the supposed to be franchise star.
New Orleans think outside of box
Since last year the New Orleans Pelicans has been on a path of total destruction. Giving up their historic 2026 draft pick or firing Willie Green. The Pelicans have made it clear they are doing it "The Pelicans Way". This hire is right up there with Rondo he woule be giving plenty of time to make the team right or can he.
If the New Orleans Pelicans hire Rajon Rondo it certainly won't be a surprise. Given the franchise current state an outside of box hiring a 2000's point guard to lead them forward. Will Rondo thrive in the Big Easy or just be the latest NOLA disaster?
