BACKLASH 2025 Predictions

It's that time again, WWE is back on with its next PLE. Wrestlemania 42 was not particulary as strong; most of the matches were predictable. With that being said, Backlash has always been one of the underrated PLEs that deliver, and the 2026 one can certainly live up to its history. The biggest match is a Wrestlemania-worthy one with Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu headlining the PLE. I am here to predict who is going to win at Backlash, which will set up what's going to be interesting.
Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker
I coined this as the feud of the summer, and I believe I am right. Bron cost Seth his match at Wrestlemania, and the former vision bros are going at it. This is a match, especially so early. I don't see a clean finish here, and maybe this could be a best-of-three series. Bron Breakker needs all the momentum he can get, and nothing like a win over Seth Rollins can do that. On the other side, it's Seth Rollins, and all he does is win when you least expect it. This match could go either way, I'm predicting Rollins winning via DQ because their feud needs to end on a big stage.
Winner Seth Rollins wins via DQ
WWE United States Championship match
Trick Williams vs Sami Zayn
This is a rematch from Wrestlemania, where Trick won the title. I think this feud has ran it course because it's basically Trick is the new guy on the block, and Zayn is losing his edge as he has lost it. Trick Williams winning here is easy; he's going to have a lengthy run, hopefully, and maybe Sami Zayn can invite a darker edge on him.
Winner Trick Williams retains here
Iyo Sky vs Askua
I am a fan of these two; they are among the best women wrestlers on the planet. I think whoever wins this match could be in line for a title match. I won't bet against Askua at all, but I am flipping a coin toss here, I like Iuo Sky, she's that good
Winner Iyo Sky
Danhausen and mystery opponent vs. The Miz and Kit Wilson
I do not understand why this match is on a PLE, given the better options available. I am not a big fan of Danhauen, and I am not going to guess his mystery tag opponent. On the other side, I am a fan of Kit Wilson and hope he gets an opportunity to shine more, while the Miz, at this stage in his career, should be putting over young talent. I am going with Danhausen and his mystery opponent here.
Winner Danhausen and his partner
World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu
This is a big-time match for a Backlash main event. Roman just won the title, and I didn't expect him to defend until the summer, yet here we are. Jacob Fatu is all gas, no brakes, and he is certainly capable of holding his own. There is a lot of storyline here. Will the Usos get involved to help Roman keep the title? I know Jacob Fatu will one day hold the world gold, but he is going to take a spear from Roman. Roman retains here.
Winner Roman Reigns retains
