Doc Rivers Knuck if you Buck

The Milwaukee Bucks finally realized that Doc Rivers' era wasn't fulfilling their championship ambitions. With the NBA season just ending today, it's no surprise that Doc got the ax. Milwaukee officially missed the postseason for the first time in a decade, and it could be a while before they are back.
Coming into this season, the Bucks' storyline centered around their star Giannis in the classic will he stay or will he go? That storyline will continue this offseason with a conclusion, because let's be honest, Giannis does not want to be in Milwaukee, and the front office is in denial about their chances of contention.
Doc Rivers is one of the greatest NBA coaches to ever do it. Yes, his claim to fame will always be the 2008 NBA title with the Boston Celtics. His recent track history, he couldn't win a title with the ''Lob City Clippers, Kawhi/PG Clippers, and he failed to win with the Joel Embiid-led 76ers. He was brought to Milwaukee a few years ago after the Bucks fired Adrian Griffin, who had a 30-13 record. You can say hiring him was the beginning of the end. He was supposed to lead the star duo of Giannis and Damian Lillard, which was short-lived, and the team lost in the first round twice.
The Bucks are the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. They can't play musical chairs with Giannis forever, and signing G-League players on the minimum to contend. Their best plan last offseason was bringing in Myles Turner and giving him star-level money to be a number two. None of that has worked out.
The best-case scenario for the Bucks this offseason is getting out of the Giannis business via trade. Get a huge haul and some promising young talent to build them back up to relevance. As for Doc Rivers, the end of his NBA coaching career feels likely. Unless some team can talk themselves into nostalgia and a 2008 championship ring in hiring Doc as their coach. But in reality, that should not happen, and riding off into the sunset is for the best, Mr.Rivers.
Milwaukee is going to be an entertaining team to watch this season. It's fascinating that their off-court drama is more interesting than what they do on the court, and that's a problem. Will the Bucks finally stop playing musical chairs, or do they believe they're going to win a title with ''who he plays for'' of the world?
